Theresa Frances Stevens

Theresa Frances Stevens, 96, of Casco, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, March 25, 2024. Theresa was born September 10, 1927 to the late John and Valeda Bickmann of Center Line, Michigan.  She was raised in both Center Line and Roseville, and was a 1945 graduate of St. Clement High School.  Upon her high-school graduation, Theresa enjoyed a 10-year career as a clerical worker for Michigan Bell. She married Robert Stevens on August 28, 1954 at St. Clement Catholic Church in Center Line and then settled in Richmond.  Theresa and Bob were married for 53 years before his death in 2008.  She truly enjoyed her role as a wife and mother, and she and Bob raised nine children. Theresa had been an active member of St. Augustine Catholic Church since 1954 and a long-time member of the St. Augustine Altar Sodality. Theresa was an avid reader and kept up on current events and the news.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and crocheting.  She dearly loved her children and grandchildren and always supported them in their endeavors.  Theresa had a knack of always making holidays and birthdays special all while on a budget.  She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her children, Nancy (William) Blumerich, Patricia (David) Misiuk, Lawrence (Mary) Stevens, Karen Stevens, Christopher Stevens, Joseph Stevens, Janet (Michael) Rhein, Susan (Bryan) Pawlowski and Daniel Stevens, fifteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.  She is also survived by a brother, David Bickmann and sister-in-law, Kathleen Bickmann.  In addition to her husband, Bob, Theresa was preceded in death by her sisters Leona Mays and Lorraine Deschamps and brothers, Donald Bickmann and John Bickmann.

Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 68035 Main St, Richmond, MI 48062.
