Ronald Paul Govier

Ronald Paul Govier, 83, of Casco, passed away at McLaren Macomb Hospital Wednesday, November 16, 2016. Loving husband of the late Sharlene Nancy Govier; Caring father of Tim (Wendy) Simmons, Brian (Blanca Valancia) Govier, Mike (Diane) Govier and Diane (Salvi) Tadros; Grandfather to Ronnie (Melissa) Simmons, Darrell Simmons, Becca Simmons. Holly Govier, Gregg Govier, Mackenzie Govier, Amy Govier, Brian Jr. Govier, and Richard (Michael) Becherer-Johnson; Great grandfather of Grace, Hayden, and Faith. Also, survived by his brother in law Dale Ross and sister in law Sandra Saxman. Preceded in death by his step brother William Henry. Ron believed that there was nothing more important than family. Ron's Hobbies were showed and trained dogs, loved photography and all kinds of sports like bowling, hockey, baseball and fishing. He helped out at the 4H of St. Clair County and liked his jewelry even though he didn't wear a lot of it. Visitation will be 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, November 20 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond 48062. Funeral Mass will be 12:00 p.m. with an Instate at 11:00 a.m. until time of Mass Monday, November 21 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 610 S Water St, Marine City 48039. Memorial donations may be made to the SSCC 4H Council, 200 Grand River Ave., Ste 102, Port Huron Mi, 48060 and the Humane Society of St. Clair County SNAP, 6177 Fred W. Moore Hwy., China Twp., Mi 48054.
