Obituary

Joan Ann Dawe, 80, passed away at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Joan was born November 12, 1942 to the late Harold and Ethel Chaltron. Beloved wife of the late Ellis (Bob) Dawe; cherished mother of Laurie (Andrew) Dawe-Collins, Charlie (Ione) Dawe, Dale (Laurie) Dawe, Richard (Kimberly) Dawe and Ben (Elaine) Hackett; grandmother of Abbey Collins, Max Dawe, Elizabeth Dawe, Lilyanna Dawe, Danielle (Mikel) Nader and Eric Hackett; great grandmother of Kassidy and Donna Nader. Also, survived by her sisters, Shirley Vieau and Beverly Rice, sister-in-law, Donna Dawe and brother-in-law, Wesley Dawe. Preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Frederick, sister-in-law’s, Linda Morrin and Ruth Tustin, brother-in-law’s, William Dawe and Curtis Dawe. Joan was a member of Richmond First United Methodist Church. Joan loved line dancing with her late husband, Bob, spending time with her grandchildren, and in her down time you’d find her crafting. She also made beautiful wedding cakes and flower arrangements for family, friends and many, many clients.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.

Memorial donations may be made to the National Celiac Association or the American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
