Daniel Roy Ryall

Daniel Roy Ryall, 59, of Columbus Township, passed away unexpectedly, April 6, 2021. Dan was born September 19, 1961 to John (Jean) Ryall and Shirley (Carl) Dobberowsky. Cherished father of Melissa (Michael) DiFalco and Erin (Kevin) Santo; special grandfather of Adalyn and Josephine Santo (More lovingly known as Goose & Maverick). He is also survived by his siblings, Sharon (Chris) Shinska, Donna (Michael) Poppe, Mary (Blake) Dorris and Michael (Tammy) Ryall.

Dan chose to live his life by enjoying the small moments that each and every day had to offer and spending time with his family. Dan graduated from Richmond High School in 1980. He followed in the footsteps of his father and was a hardworking maintenance foreman who used his knowledge in his work at Armada Rubber Manufacturing for the past 40 years. Dan was known for his love of the outdoors and enjoyed camping, kayaking, and what he referred to as ‘romping around,’ bargain hunting with his loyal dog, Tripp.

Above all, Dan took every opportunity to spend time and celebrate both of his daughters. He instilled his strength, honesty, and laugh in both Melissa and Erin. Dan brought up his girls to treasure their dogs as members of the family by doing so himself. He taught them both to stop and smell the flowers by pulling over when he saw butterfly bushes or lilacs and plucking them for his girls. They will continue to share his smile, sarcastic sense of humor, and kind heart to those around them, and those soon to come.

The family requests that in honor of Dan; step outside, take a walk, and stop to smell the lilacs.

A Memorial is planned to take place this summer.
