Bernice Ann Shafer, 85, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020. Bernice was born June 2, 1934 to the late Andrew and Mary Baszczuk. Loving wife of Miles Shafer; caring mother of Mary (John) Bowling, Miles E. Shafer, Nancy (Rick) Heinzmann, Sally (Robert) Galloway, Mark (Lori) Shafer, Julie (Aaron) Swartz and Michael (Jenifer) Shafer; cherished grandmother of Emily (Dennis), Allison, Andrew, Jacob, Carly, Anna, Quyhn, Maranda, Jaxon and Mikella; great grandmother of Cora and Owen; loving sister of Gladys (deceased) (Robert) (deceased) Coats, Florence (Theodore) Beck, and Andrew (Carol) Baszczuk. Bernice devoted her time to taking care of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a very artistic and musically inclined woman who had a heart of gold and she was always ready and willing to help others. She enjoyed playing the piano, violin, ukulele, listening to music, painting (oils and water colors), animals and nature. When she traveled, she truly enjoyed the beauty of Colorado with her family, and vacations with family and friends in Myrtle Beach.
