Warren Orris

WARREN NEWTON ORRIS 92 of Brown City, formerly of Richmond and Harsens Island died Sunday, November 25, 2007 in Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Orris was born June 10, 1915 in Columbus Junction, Iowa to the late Wilbur and Nancy (Eshleman) Orris. He married Marion Lewis in Centerline, Michigan on January 15, 1944. Mrs. Orris died April 21, 1983. Warren retired as a tool and die maker at Cate Metal Products and enjoyed farming his land in Lenox Township. He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Richmond, the Richmond Masonic Lodge #187, Michigan Farm Bureau and the Algonac Campers. Warren and his wife were both pilots and enjoyed flying their private aircraft. He is survived by his children, Lew (Dori) Orris of Brown City, Judy Orris of Lenox Township, Elaine (John) Wright of Wiarton, Ont., siblings, Robert Orris and Pearl Shook both of Plainwell, MI. and Helen Buyce of N.C., seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and Delores McDowell his companion of twenty years. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by eight siblings. A Memorial service will be on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 11:00am in Trinity Lutheran Church. Reverend Sherry Schacht will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 8:00pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. A Masonic service will be Friday at 7:00pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or Richmond Masonic Lodge #187 Shriners Club.
