VERA F. FENTON age 90 a lifelong resident of Richmond died Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in St. John River District Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Fenton was born August 17, 1917 in St. Clair, MI. to the late William and Martha (Green) Bark. She married Jack Fenton in Richmond on December 1, 1945. Mr. Fenton died July 20, 1992. Vera was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Richmond and the Order of the Eastern Star, Richmond Chapter. She enjoyed bowling, cooking and cheering on the Detroit Tigers and Michigan State Spartans where her husband was an All Star Player in 1941. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Patricia Fenton of Richmond and Annie and Michael Quinn of Casco, grandson, Michael Carlson, step-grandchildren, Kim (Brian) Doyle, Michelle (Bill) Tack and Mike (Angie) Quinn, sister, Mildred Roeder of Romeo, sister-in-law, Vicky Fenton of Clinton Twp and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her siblings, Melvin, Marvin, Alger, William, Myrtle and Marjorie Bark and Elaine Malstrom. A funeral service will be on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 11:00am in the First United Church of Christ. Reverend Jennifer Long will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in St. Clair. Visiting will be on Friday from 3 to 9pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Saturday from 10 to 11am in the church.
