Thomas Edward Ward

THOMAS EDWARD WARD age 78 of Casco died Monday, March 3, 2014 in his home after an extended illness. Tom "TW" was born July 14, 1935 in Columbus Township to the late Thomas and Kathryn (McKiernan) Ward. He graduated from St. Augustine High School in 1954 and married Marilyn "Mamie" Danko in Richmond on June 24, 1961. Tom was owner and operator of Tom Ward and Sons in Casco. He was a K of C member in Richmond. He enjoyed family, friends, farming and watching the Tigers. He is survived by his wife Mamie, children Molly (Glenn) Schweiger, Timothy (Jodie) Ward and predeceased by his son Thomas Michael on June 24, 1986. His is also survived by his grandchildren; Mitchell, Nicole and Madison Ward and Allison, Lindsay and Glenn Thomas Schweiger, his brother William of New Baltimore and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his son he was preceded in death by siblings Gerald, Jack and JoAnn Boyd. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 8pm (scripture at 6:30pm) and Thursday from 9 to 9:30am at Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond followed by a Mass at 10:00am in St. Augustine Church. Reverend Joseph Horn, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the wishes of the family.
