Theresa Schulte

THERESA ANNA SCHULTE age 91, a sixty-two year resident of Columbus Township died Sunday, March 25, 2007 in her home after an extended illness. Mrs. Schulte was born January 6, 1916 in Detroit to the late Joseph and Theresa (Young) Boehmer. She married Lawrence Franckowiak in Utica, Michigan on June 9, 1934. Mr. Franckowiak died July 18, 1940. She married Elmer Schulte November 21, 1944 also in Utica. Mr. Schulte died July 7, 1996. Theresa and her husband were lifelong farmers who enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church Altar Soldality and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and doing crafts. She is survived by her daughters, June and Michael Godin of Naples, Florida, Joyce Schulte of Burke, Virginia, Joanne Ostrander of Lenox Township and Janice and Ronald Grewe of Columbus Township, daughter-in-law, Rita Franckowiak of Capac, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons. In addition to her husbands she was preceded in death by her son Patrick Franckowiak on July 25, 1996 and siblings, Joseph Boehmer, Dorothy Fiebelkorn, and Eva Verlinde. A funeral Mass will be said on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at 10:00 am in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond. Burial will in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Utica. Visitation will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 3 to 9 in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. A Rosary service will be Wednesday at 5 pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Augustine Building Fund, Blue Water Hospice, or the American Cancer Society.
