Ruth Margaret Warren

Ruth Margaret Warren, 76, of Columbus, died peacefully on March 4, 2016 at Blue Water Hospice House. Ruth was born August 1, 1939 to Albert Edward Clayton Sr. and Vivien Ruth Clayton. She graduated from East Detroit High School in 1957 and attended Port Huron Junior College for two years. She worked in the payroll department at the Bell Telephone Company until she started to have children. She then went on and worked for many years as a Direct Care Worker at Independent Opportunities in a group home located in the Richmond area. Ruth was a long time member of Columbus Bible Church. Her enjoyments in life included writing poems, playing the organ, singing hymns, and journal writing. Ruth had a kind and caring spirit who strongly believed in giving of herself unto others. She is survived by her caring children Larry (Millie) Behem, Ron (Debbie) Behem and Scott (Dawn) Behem. Beloved grandchildren Shane, Cameron, Sierra, Devon, Connor, Nick and Nathan. Her siblings Fern Griffin, Albert (Judy) Clayton Jr., and Vivien (Lloyd) Dunn. Ruth also cherished her yellow lab Dixie.
Visitation is from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8th, at Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, located at 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062. Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 9th, with a funeral service at 11:00 at Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Blue Water Hospice Home, 2795 Edison Drive, Marysville, MI 48040.
