Nicholas James Husovsky, 22, of Casco, lost his battle with DMD Friday, May 16, 2025. He passed peacefully with his mom and dad by his side. Nick was born February 13, 2003 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Nick, as he was affectionately known, was a loving and caring young man who had a smile for everyone. He was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His passing has left a hole in our hearts. Nick graduated from St. Clair High School in 2022. His dream was to work with horses and be a video game tester. He loved building Lego’s and was an avid gamer, often spending time on his X-box or PlayStation with his family and friends. He was seasoned traveler taking many vacations over the years with his family and was always ready to discover new places to visit. When Nick was younger, he loved horseback riding, swimming up north at the lake house or at home. He enjoyed lots of activities including going to plays, concerts, zoo’s, museums and aquariums, watching baseball games, being outside and bird watching. Nick is survived and deeply missed by his loving parents, James and Janet. He is the cherished grandson of Nancy Husovsky, adored nephew of many aunts and uncles including Susan Husovsky, Steve and Chris Husovsky, Laura and David Thayer and Jim and Kathy Kacmarzyk, caring cousin of Madison, Brendan and Alex Thayer, Cody and Shelby Husovsky, Josh and Merissa Kacmarzyk. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald (papa) Husovsky, Henry and Evelyn Kacmarzyk.
Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062.
Memorial donations may be made in Nicholas’s name to Muscular Dystrophy Association for research, 1016 W Jackson Blvd. #1073, Chicago, Illinois 60607 or a charity of your choosing.
