Mary Jane D'Angelo, 77, of Richmond died unexpectedly Monday, July 28, 2008 in St. John River District Hospital. She was born in Detroit on October 29, 1930 to the late Raymond and Helen (Morrisette) Perkins. She married Placido "Bert" D'Angelo in Detroit on May 20, 1950. Mrs. D'Angelo was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond where she served on the St. Augustine Parish Council and on the St. Augustine Education Commission. She worked as a secretary for several companies and enjoyed painting, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children Benjamin (Margaret) D'Angelo of Grosse Pointe, Mary Helen D'Angelo of Detroit, Denise (Mike) Moseley of St. Clair Shores, Kathy (Robert) Sochacki of New Baltimore, Rose D'Angelo of Casco Township, and Paul (Deborah) D'Angelo of Washington Township, brothers, William (Carol Jean) Perkins of Richmond and Richard (Bertha) Perkins of St. Clair Shores, sisters-in-law Helen Perkins of Lansing and Anna Impellizzeri of Frasier, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Bert on June 5, 2002, brother Raymond Perkins, and grandson Michael Moseley. A funeral Mass will be said Friday, August 1, 2008 at 11:00 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Fr. James Commyn will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Richmond. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 9 and Thursday from 3 to 9 in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Friday from 10:30 to 11:00 in the church. A rosary service will be said Thursday at 7:00 pm. Memorial donations may be directed to the Van Elslander Cancer Center.
