MARQUERITE HELEN HENSCH age 96 of Fort Gratiot, formerly of Richmond died Thursday, September 9, 2010 in Regency on the Lake in Fort Gratiot, Michigan. Mrs. Hensch was born January 16, 1914 in Richmond to the late Ingrim and Gertrude (Weeks) Foster. She married Clifford Hensch in Richmond on May 31, 1938. Mr. Hensch died June 26, 1984. Marguerite graduated from Richmond High School in 1932 and attended Michigan State University for one year. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, the Ladies Aide, Diversity Club, Pot Luck Club, former Girl Scout Leader, taught 4-H and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross Blood Drive. She is survived by her daughters, Carol and Richard Quinn of East Jordan, MI., Christine Hensch of Fort Gratiot, Janet and Patrick Viau of Brampton, Michigan and Marsha and Richard Carlson of Gaylord, Michigan, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her brother, Donald Foster. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 10:30am in the First United Church of Christ. Reverend Jennifer Long, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery. Visiting will be Monday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Tuesday from 10 to 10:30 in the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the First United Church of Christ or the American Red Cross.
