Margaret J. Martin, 78, entered eternal life June 9, 2013 and was reunited with her husband , Norman who passed away April 9, 2013. Margaret was born in Detroit to the late Stephen and Katherine Okalski. Norman was born October 17, 1930 in Casco Township to the late Chris and Freda Martin. He served his country honorably in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. Norman & Margaret were married October 15, 1955 in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond and to their union they had five children, Steven, Mary, Gloria, Anthony and Jacqueline. Margaret worked for Barney and Ann's Restaurant and the Cook Hotel for over 20 years each. She enjoyed keeping busy with her family and work. Norman worked for National Twist Drill for over 20 years and then in his retirement for Michigan Meadow Golf Course. He enjoyed woodworking and tending to his garden. They are survived by their children, Steven (Sherry) Martin of Marysville, Mary (Tim) Ross of Memphis, Gloria (James) Trotz of Lenox Township six grandchildren, two great grandchildren; Margaret's sister, Barbara (Phillip) Schoenherr and Norman's sister, Evelyn (Herb) Wolfe. They were preceded in death by a son, Anthony in 1990 and their daughter, Jacqueline in 1970 along with several siblings. Graveside services were held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 14, 2013 in St. Michaels Cemetery, Richmond. Visit: RewaltFuneralHome for condolences.
