M. Louise Gurley

M. Louise Gurley, age 96, of Casco Twp, formerly of Lenox died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born April 5, 1916 in Bay City to the late Albert and Minnie (Dalke) Schroeder. She married Kermit A. Gurley in the Episcopal Trinity Church of Bay City on December 25, 1938. Mrs. Gurley was an interior designer and worked for Hudson department store in the retail design center. Her design nature and being meticulous wove through everything she enjoyed doing: flower gardening, cooking, baking, and painting. She is survived by her husband, Kermit; grandchildren, Cheryl Gurley of Newaygo, Elizabeth Gurley and Kevin Menke of Casco, Jeffrey (Erica) Gurley of Clyde, Lisa (Steven) Bayse of Clinton Twp., and Neil (Michelle) Gurley II of Lenox; great grand children, Nicholas and Samantha Horvath, Jonathan and Madison Gurley, and Rylee and Ryan Gurley. She was preceded in death by her son & daughter - in-law, Neil Kermit Gurley in 1993 and Barbara in 1996; and a grandson, Greg in 1977. Private family services will be held.
