Irving C. Linsday, 87 of Richmond died Tuesday, July 8, 2008 in St. John River District Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Adair on March 6, 1921 to the late John and Helen (Lutes) Linsday. He married Marie Edgette in Columbus Twp. on January 31, 1942. Mr. Linsday retired from Columbus Mutual Insurance Company in March of 2008 where he worked as an insurance agent. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond, Richmond Knights of Columbus, St. Augustine Catholic Church Ushers Club, and Michigan Underwriters Association. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, traveling with his wife, and mostly spending time with his family. He is survived by his sons: Dan and Ann Linsday of Lexington, Tom Linsday of Prato, Italy, Dave and Joyce Linsday of Fair Haven, and Mike and Jen Linsday of Mt. Pleasant, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie on July 17, 2005, brothers Orville and Robert Linsday, and sisters Charlotte Steele and Clarice Washburn. A funeral Mass will be said Friday, July 11 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond. Fr. Joseph Plawecki will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michaels Cemetery, Richmond. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 8 in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond, and Friday from 10 to 10:30 in the church. A rosary service will be said on Thursday at 7 p.m.
