GERALD "BRAD" PARE age 71 a five year resident of Sand Lake, formerly of Richmond died Saturday, October 11, 2008 in his daughter's home in Ann Arbor. Mr. Pare was born January 13, 1937 in Canada to the late Joseph and Olive (Geniac) Pare. He married Carlyle Lemmon in Lafayette, Indiana on January 27, 1963. Brad graduate from Lincoln High School in Warren and attended Macomb County Community College for two years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1999 as a truck driver from International Screw Co. in Holly, Michigan. Brad was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was an avid flower gardener and enjoyed playing euchre and bridge. He is survived by his wife, Carlyle, children, Christopher and Becky Pare of Memphis, Kimberly Ludwig of Yale, Marie and Larry Sarna of Harrison Township and Alicia and Joseph Schuster of Ann Arbor, ten grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and brothers, Thomas and Diane of Suttons Bay, Wayne and Linda of Traverse City, Brian and Andrea of Warren and Gregory and Barbara of White Lake. A memorial Mass will be on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 10:00am in Holy Family church in Memphis. Reverend Joseph Horn, pastor will officiate. There will be a visiting time in the church from 9:00am to 10:00am. Cremation arrangements were handled by Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family or the Arbor Hospice, 2366 Oak Valley Drive, Ann Arbor, MI. 48103.
