Edith Ann Shirk

Edith Ann Shirk, 85, of Chesterfield, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 with her family by her side. Edith was born to Carl and Dorothy Getz on February 9, 1932. Beloved wife of Richard Shirk; Caring mother of Deborah Sexton and Dennis (Cynthia) Shirk; Special grandmother of Michael Jr., Dawn (Lee-J), Chadwick (Chelsea) and Chelsey; Great-grandmother of Raina Lee, Maci Ann and soon to be Baby Boy Shirk. Survived also by her siblings Carl (Anna Marie) Getz Jr., Harry (Karen) Getz and Barbara Dietz. Preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Weiler. Edith enjoyed spending the winter in Clearwater, Florida with her friends, playing bingo, and bowling, but the thing she enjoyed the most was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass Monday, December 18, 2017 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 68035 Main St, Richmond, MI 48062.
