Clairetta Lawson

CLAIRETTA LAWSON age 81 of Venice , Florida formerly of Warren and Marine City died unexpectedly on Monday, April 7, 2008 after a brief illness. Mrs. Lawson was born January 31, 1927 in Cookeville, TN. to the late Ridley and Milbra (McCaleb) Bean. She married J.T. Lawson in Detroit on August 13, 1949. Mr. Lawson died October 24, 1984. Mr. and Mrs. Lawson and their two children moved from Warren to Marine City in 1978 and then she and her husband moved to Venice in 1986 where she has resided since. She graduated in 1970 with a nursing degree from Macomb County Community College and worked a short time at Martha T. Berry Hospital. In Venice she belonged to the Bay Indies Bowling Club and the Lake Venice Golf Club. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos especially her twice yearly trips to Biloxi with her friend to celebrate their birthdays. She is survived by her children, Mark and Jeaninne Lawson of Eastpointe and Debra and Charles Esper of Columbus Twp, sister, Betty Maxwell of Baxter, TN., grandchildren, Rebecca, Daniel, and Jason Esper and Markjay Lawson, five nieces and five nephews. A funeral service will be on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 11:00am in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Richmond. Reverends Gerhardt Doroh and Randy Lett will officiate.
