Alvin F. Bauman

ALVIN FREDERICK BAUMAN age 85 of Richmond died Thursday, March 12, 2015 in McLaren Macomb Hospital. Mr. Bauman was born August 29, 1929 in Detroit to the late Walter and Lillian (Schuldt) Bauman. He married Virginia Hackendale in Marysville on June 26, 1960. Mrs. Bauman died March 6, 1984. Al was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as a small engine repairman at the St. Clair County Co-Op in Richmond for nine years and then retired in 1988 after twenty-five years service as a delivery driver for the Nabisco Corp. He enjoyed drawing, wood working and gardening. He is survived by his siblings; Elaine VanNuck of Richmond, Marvin (Rowena) Bauman of London, KY and Gerald (Pat) Bauman of Richmond, sister-in-law, Ruth Bauman of Richmond and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Virginia, he was preceded in death by his brothers; Roger on November 8, 2012 and Wilford on March 21, 2014 and his dear companion of thirty years, Ingrid Leavens in December of 2009. A funeral service will be on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 10:00 am in Rewalt Funeral Home in Richmond. Reverend Gerhardt Doroh, retired pastor of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Richmond will officiate. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery under the auspices of the United States Army. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 15th from 3 to 8pm and Monday from 9 to 10am. Memorial contributions are suggested for the Wounded Warriors.
