Adela "Della" Thomas

ADELA ‘Della" THOMAS age 92 of Casco Township died Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in the Regency on the Lake Nursing Home in Fort Gratiot, MI. Mrs. Thomas was born January 4, 1923 in Detroit to the late John and Petronella (Zaenckautskas) Mars. She attended Pershing High School in Detroit and married Charles Thomas in Detroit on April 29, 1944. Mr. Thomas died September 8, 2013. Della was a longtime member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond and enjoyed reading and garage saleing. She is survived by her children; Gail Thomas of Tucson, AZ and twins, James (Shirley) Thomas of Boon, MI and Donna (Eric) Green of Casco, grandchildren; Glen (Andra) Green of St. Clair, Todd (Julie) Green of East China, Carrie (David) Devries of East China, Christy (Mark) Loomer of Southfield and Michael (Jennifer) Thomas of Richmond and fifteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her sister, Blanche Thomas. A funeral Mass will be on Saturday, August 8th at 10:00am in Holy Family Parish in Memphis. Reverend Sean Bonner, associate pastor will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery in Richmond. Visiting will be on Friday from 4 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home in Richmond and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:00am in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested for St. Jude Children's Hospital or the wishes of the family.
