Ronald Fistler Obituary

Ronald Lee Fistler, 75, of Richmond, passed away peacefully at home, Friday, March 8, 2019 surrounded by his family. Ron was born April 24, 1943 to the late Arthur and Margaret Fistler. Beloved husband of Magdalena "Leni" Fistler; cherished father of Marge (Roy Sharpley) Schultz and Tom Fistler; caring grandfather of Carolanne (Jerrid) Brinkman and Kelly Fistler; great grandfather of Braxton Brinkman. Also, survived by his sister's Judy (John) Tonkovich, Leora (Stan) Newman, Carrie (Bob) Buckland, sister-in-law Sue Fistler and Uncle, Bill (Jeanette) Fistler, along with many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his brother Jerry Fistler, Nephew Paul Fistler and niece Sheryl Buckland. Ron served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1967. He was a long time member of the Richmond Lions Club. He enjoyed golf, woodworking, gardening, fishing, traveling and spending time with family.
Visitation will be 3:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service, Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 35110 Division Rd, Richmond, MI 48062.
