Paul Sprader Obituary

PAUL HENRY SPRADER age 85, a lifelong area resident died Monday, October 5, 2015 after an extended illness. Mr. Sprader was born April 6, 1930 in Columbus Township, MI to the late William and Anna (Sliwinski) Sprader. He graduated from Richmond in 1948 and married Dolores Bauman in Columbus Twp. on September 27, 1952. Mrs. Sprader died July 14, 2008. Paul retired as a gauge inspector for Ford Motor Company Sterling Heights Axel in 1993 after forty-two years service. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond and member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Council 2667 in Richmond. He enjoyed going to his cabin in Hoxeyville where he liked to hunt, play euchre and act as the camp cook. He also enjoyed golfing. Paul is survived by his children; Diana and Robert Golembiewski of Allenton and Thomas and Mary Sprader of Richmond, siblings; Alice Chodacki of NC, Raymond Sprader of AZ and William Sprader of Richmond, grandchildren; Sarah Iannuzzi, Darren Matusik and Gregory Nason and great-grandchildren; Bayta Mellen, Emma and Milo Iannuzzi and Evey Perzanowski. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his son Daniel on October 20, 2005, and siblings; Barney, Norbert and Robert Sprader and Dorothy Horkenbach. A funeral Mass will be on Thursday, October 8th at 10:00am in St. Augustine Church with visiting from 9:30 to 10:00am. Reverend Joseph Horn, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery. Visiting will be on Wednesday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home in Richmond with at rosary recited at 6:30pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested for the wishes of the family.
