Marcella A. Karmon

MARCELLA ANNE KARMON age 97 of Grand Blanc, MI died September 11, 2015 at the Abbey Park Assisted Living Home in Grand Blanc. Mrs. Karmon was born May 13, 1918 in Detroit to the late Joseph and Leocadia (Faber) Ernst. She graduated from St. Augustine Catholic High School in Richmond in 1936 and attended St. Joseph Nursing School in Mount Clemens. She married Theodore Karmon in Mount Clemens on July 21, 1937. Mr. Karmon died in October of 1967. Marc was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed her winters in St. Petersburg, Fl for several years. She was an avid euchre player and once belonged to the Etta Zeta Phi card club. She and her husband Ted owned and operated the Karmon Hardware store in Richmond. Marc is survived by her children; Mary (Kay) Rewalt of Washington Twp, Dolores Lendzion of Grand Blanc, Douglas (Anne) Karmon of Kalamazoo and David (Susan) Karmon of Mt. Pleasant, her sister, Mary Cassidy of Mount Clemens, her sister-in-law Vera Ernst of Richmond, twelve grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her son, Michael in 1941, siblings; Joseph, Donald and Dolores Ernst, Florence Burkhardt and Lorraine Finucan, sister-in-law Lois Ernst, brothers-in-law; Henry Burkhardt, Earl Finucan and Patrick "Chuck" Cassidy, granddaughter, Mary Grace Rewalt in 1961 and sons-in-law; Leonard Lendzion and John Rewalt. A Memorial Mass will be Saturday, November 14, 2015 in St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond. Reverend Sean Bonner, associate pastor will officiate. Inurnment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Richmond. Arrangements by Rewalt Funeral Home in Richmond.
