GERALD R. DOBROWOLSKI age 71 of Columbus Township died December 5, 2014 in Port Huron Mercy Hospital. Mr. Dobrowolski was born February 24, 1943 in St. Clair County, MI to the late Stanley and Jessie (Skeindzior) Dobrowolski. He graduated from Richmond High School in 1961 and married Diana LaForest in Richmond on June 6, 1964. Jerry retired in 2005 after forty-three years as a supervisor from the General Motors Hamtramck Gear and Axle plant which later became American Axle. He enjoyed going to the casinos, bowling and golfing. He is survived by his wife, Diana, daughters; Margie (David) Soldan of Richmond, Michaele Dobrowolski of Sterling Heights, Marla Gilroy of Richmond and Gerri Watkins of Marlette, his sister Joyce (David) Torres of Columbus Twp, grandchildren; Brent, Kyle and Mary Soldan, Dalton Gilroy, Julea Watkins and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Stanley Dobrowolski Jr. Visiting will be on Sunday, December 7th in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond from 3 to 8pm with a scripture service at 6:30pm. Memorial contributions are suggested for the wishes of the family.
