Elmer Ferguson Obituary

Elmer David Ferguson, 97, of Lenox, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He was born October 14, 1919 to the late Edward and Grace Ferguson. He married his high school sweetheart, Jennie Pryzybyla, on November 22, 1945 after he returned home from proudly serving in WWII with the United States Army. He and Jennie became the parents of five children and were active members of St. Augustine Church and the Blue Water Polka Boosters. He liked to dance, golf, watch the Detroit Tigers and spend time with his family and friends. He is survived by his daughters Pamela (Lawrence) Koenig of Florida, Marcia (James) Kleinhans of Lenox, Janie (Robert) Schroeder of Lenox and sons Robert (Geri) of Burton and Philip of Ann Arbor; 12 grandchildren, Sarah (Jeff Milton-Hall), Jennifer and Aaron (Pa) Koenig, Amanda (Glenn) Sinclair, Kelley (Jeff) Tungate, Brian (Jessica) Kleinhans, Alexis Ferguson, Grace, Frank and Michael Ferguson, Joshua and Alexandra Schroeder; 12 great grandchildren, Ada Koenig-Milton-Hall, Jeffrey and Jackson Sinclair, Gabriela, Margaret and Timothy Koenig, Jordan and Cooper Tungate, Layla, Keegan and Haylee Kleinhans and Mason Hebel. He is preceded in death by his wife Jennie, brother Edgar Ferguson and sister Wilma Holmes. Visitation will be 2:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond 48062. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 68035 Main St, Richmond 48062. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Augustine Catholic School Scholarship Fund or the Richmond Knights of Columbus.
